I attended Texas Southern University, focusing on teaching and education. As an undergrad, I tutored urban area high school students, helping them improve standardized exam performances and in their college preparation. I was also a tutor for a range of high school courses including biology (problem solving and data analysis), geometry, English and reading (essay construction and use of context), and history (past event and their impact today). I also have many years' experience tutoring middle and high school students for the Texas TAKS and STAAR tests. I was enlightened by education as a young student, and building on my own high level course performance and academic success, I now strive to bring that experience to my current students. I have a charisma and natural way to motivate and inspire, and try to ensure to use that to help students approach difficult subject matter in a way they can comprehend and turn into success. My hobbies and interests include traveling around the world, reading, working with students, and dancing.
